We will be back at Tesco South Road for a collection day between 10am-4pm on Saturday the 3rd June. If you’re planning a food shop this weekend, please consider stopping by South Road Tesco and helping us out with a small donation. Just one or two extra items from your own shopping can make such a difference to us as we look to build up vital stock needs.
At the moment, we are running very low on the following items and would be very appreciative if any of these items could be donated;
- Tinned meat (spam, corned beef, ham, etc.)
- Tinned vegetables (especially potatoes)
- Tinned puddings (rice pudding, custards, or even sachets of angel delight which provide a nice treat for kids)
- Tinned fruit
- Coffee
- Sugar
Also, this collection day will be the first since we formed our new partnership with The Carpet Cleaners. Anyone that donates either food or money at the collection day, will be entered into a prize draw with the winner receiving a professional carpet cleaning service voucher (this entitles the winner to have any three carpets cleaned. The voucher has a 12 month expiry).
At Dundee Foodbank, we do not have many ways in which to thank people for their very generous donations. Without your donations, Dundee Foodbank could simply not operate. Therefore, we are glad that this partnership with The Carpet Cleaners goes some way of showing our gratitude.
